Adventure tourism

Argentina offers an array of possibilities for you to enjoy nature. Adventurous and daring travelers find here everything they want to go climbing, hiking, horseback riding, hanggliding, paragliding, powered or unpowered glider flying, hot air ballooning, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing and scuba-diving.

In the southern part of the country, ascents to Lanín and Tronador mounts have become a classic, as well as climbing the vertical walls of the Torre and Fitz Roy mounts, being a great challenge even to the most experienced climbers. In Tierra del Fuego, dogsleds drawn by Siberian Huskies are the most traditional excursions. From the Tierra del Fuego coast, cruisers and sailing boats set sail and navigate along the Beagle channel to the Isla de los Estados and Cabo de Hornos to Antactica.

Presenting a sharp contrast, the central and northern regions offers possibilities to enjoy bird watching, to take expeditions in off road vehicles, go horseback riding and climbing the central mountain range, including  the Aconcagua, which rises to 6,959 meters. In the yungas (forests covered with clouds), bike riding  and going horseback riding or hiking are now all the rage.

The Argentino Sea, especially Puerto Madryn, is a preferred destination for intrepid scuba divers eager to see underwater parks and explore shipwrecks. Sea animal life will join you as you embark upon the adventure of diving into the Atlantic Ocean waters.
